Dino Fest at NHM

This weekend is the 2nd annual Dino Fest at the Natural History Museum! NHM members are free of charge. Tickets for non-members (includes museum access) can be purchased here. Adults $12, Students $9, Kids 3-12 $5

What's a Dino Fest, you ask? It's a two-day festival celebrating dinosaurs, their prehistoric past, and the science that brings their world back to life. Meet world-renowned paleontologists from the Museum's Dinosaur Institute and beyond as they discuss historic and ongoing fossil discoveries from around the world.

Visit exhibitors, catch a glimpse of rare specimens from the Museum’s collections, dig into hands-on activities, explore our world renowned Dino Hall with the world’s only Tyrannosaurus rex growth series, and so much more!

The festival is open 9:30-5pm. Our group will meet up at 11am at the entrance to the ramp at the front entrance. Look for the SALA Tshirts! From there, we'll spend a couple hours touring the special exhibits and get some lunch. I'm planning to bring picnic foods and dine al fresco at the Rose Garden. Please feel free to join me!

The Expo Line stops right at the museum at the Expo/Vermont or the Expo Park/USC stop. If you're parking at the museum, be sure to bring cash!

Please RSVP and comment on whether or not you're a NHM member. Some memberships allow us to bring guests, and/or if we have enough non-members attending, we're eligible for a group rate.

Thanks, and see you Sunday!
