SALA Giving Tree

As we approach the Winter Solstice, it's time to get ready for one of our favorite projects of the year! This year, the Sunday Assembly LA community is adopting four families for the holidays through the Department of Social Services.

Often, our sponsored families are just getting into permanent housing and need a lot of basic household items like bedding and groceries, in addition to school supplies and holiday gifts for children. Throughout the next 6 weeks, we'll be accepting items and wrapping gifts, then the delivery team will drop them off with the families in person in mid-late December.

If you'd like to help make the holidays special for a family in need this year, please RSVP on this page. We'll add names, ages, sizes and wishlists from our adopted families to the SALA Giving Tree Document (https://tinyurl.com/2018SALAGivingTree) as we receive them, and you can always come up with a toy, gift card or other item on your own and add it to the document. Please remember to add your name and contact information to the spreadsheet, along with the item you're gifting.

You can bring the gifts to an Assembly or other SALA event, mail them to us, or coordinate to drop off in person. Be sure to RSVP and drop in for one of our wrapping parties to help put it all together, or sign up to help deliver gifts directly to our families' homes.

It's an incredible experience start to finish, and it means to much to these families that you're thinking about them and care enough to make their holidays brighter.
