Nov 10 - Sunday Assembly

Join us this Sunday at 11am when Astrophysicist Dr Sabrina Stierwalt will be telling the greatest story ever told: how the elements that comprise you and everyone you love were fused in the core of a star billions of years ago. How are stars formed? What happens when they die? What is in store for our Sun?

Sabrina is a professor at Occidental College where she teaches fun courses like quantum mechanics and advanced electricity and magnetism and researches the physics of galaxy-galaxy collisions which includes, you guessed it, star formation.

We will get started at 11:00 we'll get started with a great talk, live music and secular celebration. Stick around afterward for coffee and, if you'd like, lunch in the neighborhood. Sunday Assembly is free of charge, and donations are gratefully accepted.

Everyone is welcome. Free childcare provided.

Sunday Assembly is a volunteer-driven non-profit entirely funded by attendee donations. If you'd like to see SALA continue to develop positive secular community, please consider becoming a sustaining member: sundayassemblyla.org/monthly
